The process is the same regardless of the service level.
Each engagement follows a consistent path: the watch is assessed, the findings are shared, a scope and cost are agreed, work is carried out, performance is measured, and the piece observes a run-in period before return. The service tier determines the depth of work within that structure, not the process itself.
Owner communication is direct throughout. No intermediary, no automated updates, no surprises at collection. If something changes during the work, you hear about it before anything proceeds further.

Initial enquiry — brief note about the watch and any concerns noticed. No detailed form, no registration.

Drop-off appointment — agreed at a time that suits the owner. Postal submission also available.

Bench evaluation — condition, accuracy, and water resistance assessed. Findings documented with photographs.

Scope and cost agreed — owner confirms before any movement is opened. No work begins without confirmation.

Bench work and testing — service carried out, timing machine and pressure test conducted, results recorded.

Observation period and return — watch runs in the studio until performance is stable. Returned with written service record.
SERVICE 01
Service Health Review

A bench evaluation that reports on accuracy, water resistance, and general condition, with photographs and a plain-language summary. Intended for owners who want to understand a watch's current state before deciding whether care is needed now or can wait. There is no obligation to proceed with further work.

- Accuracy measurement on a six-position timing machine
- Water resistance pressure test
- Case, crystal, and bracelet condition assessment
- Written condition summary with plain-language findings
- Photographs of movement and case exterior
BEST FOR
Owners who have acquired a watch and want an objective view of its condition. Also useful before deciding to proceed with a full service, or when a watch has been in storage and its current state is unknown.
SERVICE 02
Standard Mechanical Service

A complete service for manual and automatic movements, covering cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and a timing check across positions. Includes a gasket refresh and a written record of the work carried out. Suitable for watches that show signs of age in their performance or that have reached a reasonable service interval.

- Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
- Fresh lubrication to calibre specification
- Regulation and six-position timing check
- Gasket replacement and water resistance test
- Case and bracelet cleaning
- Written service record provided to owner
BEST FOR
Manual and automatic watches with standard movements — dress watches, sports pieces, and everyday wearers — where no additional complications are fitted and the watch has not been serviced recently.
SERVICE 03
Complication Care Project

Focused work on chronographs and calendar movements, with careful inspection of additional modules and conservative parts handling. Each project begins with an agreed plan — what will be examined, what is likely to be addressed, and what the expected cost will be. An extended observation period before return is standard for this tier.

BEST FOR
Owners of chronographs, annual or perpetual calendar watches, and other pieces with mechanical complications beyond simple date function. Also appropriate for multi-complication pieces that have not been serviced in several years.

ACROSS ALL SERVICES
Standards that apply regardless of the service tier.
Conservative parts policy
Original parts are kept where condition allows. Replacements are discussed before ordering. Nothing is fitted without owner agreement.
Direct owner communication
All communications go directly between the studio and the owner. No third parties involved in decisions about the work.
Secure storage
Pieces in the studio's care are stored securely when not at the bench. Access to watches in progress is limited to the working watchmaker.
Instrument-verified testing
Timing and water resistance are measured with calibrated instruments. Results are documented, not estimated.
Service record archive
Every service is documented and archived. If an owner needs a copy of a past record for resale or insurance purposes, the studio can provide it.
Honest scope assessment
If a piece is outside the studio's scope, that is communicated clearly and promptly. No work is taken on simply to avoid turning an enquiry away.
